I would like to thank all owners who have paid their Assessment.  If you have not already sent in your 2012 Annual Assessment, please remit payment immediately.  You can visit our website to pay online.  Remember the Assessment was due on January 1st and was late on January 30th.  Delinquent charges will not be forgiven due to the 30-day grace period that was allowed.  Please understand collections of Assessments are imperative to fund the operating budget for your community.  It is unfair to the owners that pay on time every time.

Respectfully,

Please see below a few community updates:

Traffic Light on Hwy 176 & Cane Bay Boulevard: Approval for the traffic light on Hwy 176 and Cane Bay Boulevard has finally been obtained.  While its installation is controlled by SCDOT and not Gramling, SCDOT has committed that construction will commence this spring to be completed prior to the opening of the Middle School.

Nature Trails: The installation of the master trails is triggered by the development of each individual tract.  With Cane Bay Middle School, as well as the Lennar and Dan Ryan communities currently under construction, nearly all of the master trail system should be in place by the end of 2012 if not sooner. The trails will connect and lead to the Publix.

Streetlights: Some Owners have inquired about the streetlight plan for Cane Bay Plantation.  Additional streetlights will be added as new communities are completed.  The turn lanes that are necessary for new community entrances require altering the median on Cane Bay Boulevard, thus dictating the placement of some of the new lights.

Community Patrol:  In the early development stages of Cane Bay Plantation, we  decided to hire a patrol company to patrol Cane Bay Boulevard because the area was secluded and they wanted visible patrol.  As development progresses these services may eventually be terminated as Cane Bay becomes more populated.  At this time, Gramling has hired a new contractor to patrol the Boulevard with a decrease in patrol hours per evening.  There will be a Patrol Officer on-site seven days a week during the overnight hours.  The decision by the Board of Directors was based on the growth in development and a reduction of secluded areas.  Please understand that each Sub-Association is and always has been responsible for their Association and amenities; however, the contractor has been informed that they should make random tours of the Sub-Associations.

Commercial Storage Facility: We did not move forward with the group that initiated the storage survey, however we are currently in negotiations with another qualified storage company and we will keep the owners posted on our progress.

Publix Retailers: Gramling was not involved in the construction of the Publix shopping center and will not be involved with the leasing of the retail space.  However, we will obtain contact information for Owner inquiries.

Cane Bay Boulevard: The plan is to provide access out to 17-A via Cane Bay Boulevard, however the exact location is to be determined.

Thank you!
